Liberty Electric Products (LEP) and New England Electrical Sales (NEES) together form one of the most respected and customer-focused manufacturers’ representative agencies and stocking distributors in the Northeast. With a combined legacy of more than 70 years serving the electrical, heating, HVAC, industrial, and mechanical industries, we deliver unparalleled service, technical expertise, and market coverage from New York through all of New England.
Our History and Growth
Founded in 1987 in Syracuse, NY, Liberty Electric Products has grown steadily by adding leading product lines, building trusted relationships, and delivering industry-leading service to engineers, architects, contractors, distributors, OEMs, and building owners. In 2015, LEP expanded further by acquiring Empire State Sales, strengthening its presence in the Albany region.
In 1990, Steve Langelier founded New England Electrical Sales in Massachusetts with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between manufacturers and customers through trusted partnerships and exceptional service. Over the next three decades, NEES established itself as a cornerstone in the New England electrical marketplace, earning long-standing partnerships with top manufacturers such as Broan NuTone. In September 2023, NEES joined The Liberty Group alongside LEP, adding tremendous resources and reach while maintaining its trusted name and team in New England.
What We Do
Our combined teams of sales engineers, outside representatives, and inside support staff provide consultation, site surveys, technical training, product education, and responsive service to every level of the supply chain. We focus on:

- Distributor relationships and education – driving stock conversions and providing ongoing training to specifiers
